SimMon is a basic remote controlled patient monitor for full scale medical simulation.
Using SimMon on any pair of devices, iOS 13 or newer, gives you a simple remotely controlled simulated patient monitor.
An iPad makes for an ideal multi-touch controlled remote and the big screen makes a great bedside patient monitor.
Open SimMon on your two devices of choice and connect via WiFi or Bluetooth. Change the blood pressure, oxygen saturation, respiration rate or heart rate by touching the value and dragging your finger up or down.
Simple setup. Easy operation. Low cost.
Thank you for the amazing feedback and support - it keeps SimMon evolving!
Pros and cons of SimMon app for iPhone and iPad
SimMon app good for
Efficient, a good price, and for preclinical or normal Hospital scenarios completely sufficient! Go Buy!
This series of apps (iPad and iPhone) was the perfect solution to add a simulated patient monitor to our neonatal resuscitation training. Very easy to set up and use. The developer is very responsive to feedback and has made many improvements in the short time I have used it.
This is a great alternative to investing in very expensive patient simulators. I highly recommend it.
This is a great tool for teaching Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Nice secondary monitor for mega code testing and teaching station.
Im a respiratory clinical instructor. This is EXACTLY what anyone doing medical education needs without having to book the SimLab!
I would highly recommend this for any clinical educator.
What a great teaching aid for Mock codes or ACLS and PALS. Very easy to use and very receptive from students. Cant wait to see what the updates bring, this app can only get better.
Their customer service is outstanding as well!!!
Keep up the great work!!!

This is an amazing piece of software, it allowed me to do simulation for my residents without the high fidelity mannequins.
I would suggest if you could add the ability to display images of labs, ECGs, x-rays, or CTs. We can provide our own images depending on our scenario.
I loved the ease of using my iPhone as a Bluetooth remote!
Some bad moments
Basic but works easily. No sound though.
Would be a really useful app if it had pulse tone that altered with heart rate & pulse oximetry reading.
A few extra features beyond this (waveform trace, BP cuff noise, ECG trace, cycling BP numbers during measurement, etc. would enable you to run relatively high fidelity simulations with a patient actor or a very basic mannequin.
SVT, NSR, and VT are all the same waveform!!
Very limited ability to show different clinical situations.
